Making time to connect with loved ones

Max & Maggie's is missing our families. But staying safe is most important during this time. We know that while we might be stuck in our homes, this doesn't mean we all have more room in our schedules. 

A lot of us have extra time right now, but a lot of us are actually busier, whether it's due to increased work stress or homeschooling our beautiful children.

This month we want to encourage you to carve out time every day to connect with your family and friends, even if you feel like you don't have the strength, the desire or the time to reach out. This is important as it can help us manage our own stress and feel socially connected.

It's also key to be sure that you're present during interactions with your loved ones. Be intentional with your connections. Put the time aside, like a meeting at work, to hear each other and know that someone else is thinking about you.

Remember, there are creative ways to connect with friends and family virtually. Whether it's Face Timing with someone while you're taking a walk or taking the same exercise class at the same time and connecting virtually, keeping those social rhythms in place can help maintain some normalcy in our lives right  now.
