MATERNITY SESSIONS

 

There are so many things to think about, plan for, and purchase when you are getting ready for baby. I'm biased, but as a photographer, I think you should consider adding maternity images to that list.  In recent years, more and more pregnant women have been hiring professional photographers to capture their images between months seven and eight. If you're wondering whether you should do it, here are some reasons I think maternity sessions are great. Firstly,  celebrate yourself! Secondly, freeze a moment in time. Finally, reveal the gender.

Celebrate yourself - Pregnancy is a time to think about the journey that led you to become a family. Whether this is your first child or your fifth, honoring the foundation on which your family has been built is an important, and wonderful, thing to do.

Freeze a moment in time - A new baby brings many changes. Life as you know it will never be the same. So, take some time to capture the way things are right now. It's probably been a while since you had any family photos taken. This is the perfect opportunity to get up-to-date images of your family before it is altered.

Reveal the Gender - A maternity session can be a great way to reveal your baby's gender if that is information you have chosen to learn and share. You can even announce your child's name. Maybe you are having multiples and no one knows yet. People will love finding out this information through photos.
